I get tired quickly and feel dizzy when I stand up. Could this be a heart issue?

I have been feeling lightheaded when I stand up quickly and sometimes I feel weak after doing small tasks. I thought it might be dehydration, but it has happened several times this week. I also notice that I get winded faster than I used to. Should I be worried about my heart, my blood pressure, or something else?

Dizziness on standing can happen from dehydration, low blood pressure, anemia, medication effects, or less commonly a cardiac issue. Because you also feel winded more easily, it would be sensible to get a proper checkup rather than assuming it is only dehydration. A doctor may review your blood pressure, pulse, hemoglobin, hydration status, and if needed a heart evaluation to rule out more serious causes.
