My blood pressure readings keep coming back high even though I feel fine.

I checked my blood pressure at a pharmacy machine on three different days and it was around 145/92 each time. I do not really feel any symptoms, maybe a slight headache sometimes, but otherwise I am normal. I am trying to exercise more and reduce salt, but I do not know if this is enough. At what point should I see a doctor and when does blood pressure become dangerous?

Repeated elevated readings, even without symptoms, can still mean hypertension. The next step is to confirm your blood pressure using a proper home or clinic measurement method and discuss the average readings with a doctor. Lifestyle changes are important, but if the numbers remain high, medication may be needed to lower long-term stroke and kidney risk. You should also monitor for warning signs such as chest pain, severe headache, vision changes, or breathlessness.
